Tonight a group of great friends rang in the new year with a low-key get together. We drank apple ciders, beers, listened to the Rolling Stones, told stories, caught up and even played a few songs by the fire before the night was over. It was wonderful.
2008 was a year of change for me, I was laid off from my job in May, I traveled to places I’d never been before, and I spent time with so many great friends, both new and old. Friends and family members passed away much too soon, and I went to the dentist a ton of times and finally got my wisdom teeth out.
I started working on a new record, and I made new music for TV shows. SXSW was fantastic, I opened my online guitar store, I played a ton of shows with Mary O, The Yum Yum Tree, The Good Graces, Dank and solo, and had countless amazing, loved, and cherished moments all year.
366 days, taking a picture every day of my silly life for one year. Pretty damn crazy, pretty damn fun.
2008 and was tough year for many folks, here’s hoping that 2009 is better for everyone.
