Day 6 – Take the 10th Street exit off of the Connector heading north and stay straight. The Adult Swim folks have a huge mural up on the right side of the road. Reminds me of my old Styx LP, The Grand Illusion.

Day 5 – It’s cold in Atlanta at the moment, record-setting cold. Most people see it as an inconvenience, a bother. For those creatures that are out in the elements all the time, it’s life or death. The homeless and displaced families in Atlanta are very much at risk when the weather gets this extreme.
It affects all creatures great and small (like this poor little guy) without a place to protect themselves from the elements and a warm place to lay their head.
Stay warm and say a prayer for those that don’t have the inconvenience of a high electric bill and bulky winter clothes.

Day 4 – Recording of a new song commences tonight! I’ve got the Les Paul plugged in a rocking.
A cold day here in Atlanta is a perfect day for coffee and songwriting. For inspiration I find it’s better to grab something you’re not comfortable playing, for me it’s this little Gretsch.
A freezing night and some amazing BBQ.
OK, I’ve decided to do a 365 again, but this time it’s not going to be about my smiling mug.
It’s going to be a picture a day of "something."
Some days it will be me, but more often than not it will be of friends, places, or things that have a special place in my life at that moment. Some days I’ll miss it completely and won’t post a thing.
It’s also an excuse to get to know my new camera better, to stretch creative boundaries, and push my self personally.

I’ll post these to Flickr, Facebook, and maybe my Tumblr page (http://johnmcnicholas.tumblr.com/), when I remember.
Happy New Year, everyone.
Day 365 – New Year’s Eve! Done and done! Thanks for watching!
Day 364 – We paid a second visit to the Peacemaker on our trip as we explored the waterfront more. Such a cool ship.

Day 363 – A fantastic day in Savannah! We walked all over town, and even went on a haunted pub tour. This is a shot of me in front of the Forsyth Park Fountain.

Day 362 – Robyn and I headed over to Savannah, GA today for a few days of relaxing and exploring. One of our favorite spots was Planter’s Tavern, an excellent recommendation by my friend Melodie. A great, cozy bar located in the basement of the Olde Pink House. It had a great piano player, and delicious drinks. We made ourselves cozy on (literally) the fireplace and made new friends over drinks and conversation.
